About the Event
Psychoanalyst and writer Adam Phillips joins us via Zoom to answer questions from the VCCC community about his work and latest book, The Life You Want. This will be a hybrid event. Adam Phillip’s talk will be broadcast via video feed at our in-person 10-year anniversary fundraiser at The New Center for Psychoanalysis. This in-person event will be followed by a reception in the garden. You can also join us for his talk at your home via Zoom.

Study Group
VCCC Board Members, Drs. Eliane Hary and Rena Kleiman will be hosting a study group on September 28th at 7:30pm to discuss The Life You Want before the event. This Study Group meets online and is available to anyone who registers for the event. You will be sent a link for the Study Group when you register.
Adam Phillips
Adam Phillips, formerly Principal Child Psychotherapist at Charing Cross Hospital, London, is a practicing psychoanalyst and a visiting professor in the English department at the University of York. He is the author of numerous works of psychoanalysis and literary criticism, including most recently On Giving Up, On Wanting to Change, Attention Seeking, In Writing, Unforbidden Pleasures and Missing Out. He is General Editor of the Penguin Modern Classics Freud translations, and a Fellow of The Royal Society of Literature.
